These artists may have never seen the light of day, outside of Geezy, but when signed to Diddy, you will get your 15 minutes of fame faster than anyone... We live in a world of now, not a world of tomorrow. Music is a business, and in our instant society, you have to have your face on the screeen immediately, and Sean Combs has proven to get you there faster than anyone, and he has made no talent sell millions. That's why they sign, they don't know or pay attention to what has happened to other artists, because they believe they are different. They are not looking at the foundation of tomorrow, they are looking at the glory of the next hour...
Despite what he does to others, he has an award nominated clothing line, in movies and TV movies, producing movie soundtracks, have successful reality shows that you continue to watch, making enough money to live large while paying nearly $60,000 in child support a month... so there has to be something about him that is keeping him successful, otherwise he would be out business.... that is what they see, they see the end image, not what you have to go through or deal with to get it... and as long as Diddy can be seen on the idiot box, heard on the waste stations, viewed in your movie theatres.... people will always flock and go to him.... no matter how bad his record maybe... he made the queen of hip hop / r&B, one of the best emcee's of all time, a queen in r&B, a soul cat from chicago, and given instant light to some others... that is all you need to be great... and anyone who has an opportunity to try and grab a piece of it, will 98% of the time go for it.... |
