Formally AND currently Soulmusik

I'm from the midwest but currently rest my head in NYC. I found out about Eric through the movie Prison Song. I heard "I Have a Song", saw his name in the credits, Googled him, met him, and now I'm blessed to work for him.
The rest is history... Mr. Green Mr. Green Mr. Green

Lead by example, Mod. Who you be?

Merq here, same as before. I feel like I've told this story a million times... but once more for the newbies.

Did a site for a production duo in Nottingham, who put me on to some cat named Erro. The song was called "Rock Wit' You," as remixed by Osunlade. I thought it was damn-near the funkiest thing I'd ever heard, and I put it on the 'Pod.

A few months later, on another discussion board, a few Soul (read: not R&B) heads on the mostly mainstream-pop/emo/alternative board recommended some cat named Eric Roberson. For some reason, I didn't make the association between this ERic ROberson cat and ERRO ('cause I'm smart like that), but I googled Roberson and ended up on the site.

The Flash intro featured the opening strains of "Couldn't Hear Me," and by the fifth bar, I had clicked on the Store section and was ordering two CDs. Been a member since April '05.

Yeah, I saw it on the programming guide, but seeing as I couldn't tell when "I Have A Song" would pop up, I passed on it.

I heard esoteric a few years back and had to have it.

This is my first Erro Soul Forum (I was on the email list and got the link). I will be looking forward to NXNW.

Well, well, well... let's see...

Well I'm the mysterious MadMuZiSHuN the Black Daria (ppl call me MuZe) and I've been an ERFling since like '04 (dang it's been that long!!!). I'm a native New Jerseyan (which means I have great taste in music) and a part-time college student (don't worry y'all I'm finishing up in May).

I sought out Erro's music soon after I realized that the same man was behind some of my fave songs by other artists (examples: "Funny Feelings," "Love Of My Life," "Previouscats," "Hold On"). I immediately bought The Vault Vol. 1, and was amazed with both his voice and his lyrics. I was and still am hooked on his music. Unlike many artists today, his tracks never seem to get old.

I first heard Erro on XM Radio when Traci LaTrelle was heading up the channel The Flow. They let her go, I let go of XM, but haven't been able to let go of Mr Roberson's music. LEFT is a great CD, enjoying it more and more each time I play it.

EDIT: Just remembered.. back then on XM.. Eric did a live acoustic performance at the XM studios.. I never got a chance to listen to it though.. not sure if they ever broadcasted it.

Am today as I was yesterday...jhleija. Yes this is the Juan and only....Juan. Glad to be back. I'm from the ...Left coast, representing sunny CALIFORNIA.

Was introduced to Eric via a CD burned for me by a friend. Heard She Ought To Know...and was hooked. Didn't know who sung that song, went on a mission to discover who was the man behind the lyrics and discovered ERRO, his music and this board. I was so moved by the "realness" and "honesty" of the music that I became an instant and devoted fan. I've jumped on the bandwagon and am trying to spread the word about E. and his music out here on the ...Left coast.

This is "HONEST" music at it's best!!!

I am the one and only Pin Up Girl. My girl CC introduced me to Eric's music and I've been hooked ever since. She said she saw him in a magazine and was like I KNOW THAT DUDE. Logged onto the site back in August 06 and the rest is history (with a few stories and wild rides and such along the way).
