Okay guys this might cause a ruckus on board similar to the homosexuality thread CC started but here goes.

I know of a preacher who is
1) MARRIED but cheating with a family member of mines and has been for 3 years now
2) A BLAZIN ALCOHOLIC who loves getting sloshed off dat white liquor

Now I'm no saint but I was raised in the church and one thing I can't stand is a hypocrite! I think that those in a position to guide, shephard and minister to folk should live right and try to be an example to others. Crooked preachers have done soooo much damage to people's mindsets about church and religion. Every man is tempted and no one is above sinning but when you actively participate in the behavior I stated I think it's awful and you should not be pastoring.

The family member and I are very close so I try to be cordial when I see him but I can't stand his a*s!!!! And yes his wife knows he cheats so she does not attend church with him even though she is the first lady.

I have pondered writing an anonymous letter and somehow getting it to a few of his church and board members. He needs to be sat down!

Would that be wrong or should I leave it alone????

That Pastor must be my Pastor's first cousin. He:

Went to Jail twice for CC fraud
Arrested for drivin with suspended license
Diamond Thief
Plays our church for raises and vacation pay
Once told a respected member: "I should put a curse on you for talkin to me like that" (She was openly, but respectfully teling him about himself).

We are goin thru so much politics to get rid of him. This may sound harsh, but he is what I often call, The Pastor from Hell!

That's pretty deep. And the wife knows and she has not done anything? Too interesting. You could probably address the board about him because in his position there is a standard of life to follow. There is too much of this going around today. And if it's that messed up at the head, what is the rest of the body going to look like. The buck has to stop somewhere. Most people know this behavior is going on and just don't want to stir the waters so I would be prayerful in who I decide to address with this issue. Everything done in darkness will come to light.... believe that, that's why I do my dirt in the light lol

Thanks Ole Soul. This guy hasn't even been th pater for long. I remember when they made him Pastor. I should've said something then. It's not a very large church at all and his membership is kinda light because I guess people left when the pator before him did. His wife complains to him and makes little quips about him haveing a girlfriend but so many women just figure that there is nothing they can do so they stay through their unhappiness.

You NEED to dime him out. This type of thing cannot be tolerated. Being silent means you are giving your consent for this activity to continue.

It's people like him that give the church a bad name.

Okay, her responsibility may be to the church, but Tanaya, don't feel you are consenting to their relationship by not soundin the horn. These are 2 adults who know of their wrong doins. Once you stated your disapproval and they failed to correct the matter or disregarded what you viewed as wrongful, no one is/should hold you accountable.

When I do draft that letter I'm going to definitely share it with the board.

My problem with that is that this man is leading God's people.....he is the shephard of the flock. God is going to bring to light all that he is doing. But if people find out you knew in advance, you will be seen as a co-conspirator. This is not something you can keep to yourself, this affects too many people.

This is why we have to make sure our pastor's are QUALIFIED to have their job. I'm not following any preacher's word if he hasn't gone to seminary. Would you go to a doctor that didn't have a degree? I'm not saying seminary will eliminate corrupt people in the church, but at least they've shown they have a passion for the Word of God, and have gone out and gotten themselves educated in theology. Just because someone has a gift for speaking and preaching doesn't make them a good pastor.

Send that letter out! I would not want to accept the delivery of the Word from someone who blatantly thinks themselves above it. This isn't the case of just "slipping" up, which we all do from time to time. 3 years, this man is knows what he is doing and is a walking contridiction. I'm tired of these church leaders guiding everyone else in how to live in accordance with the Word, but at the same time are stealing from the church, commiting acts of adultery, abusing drugs and alchohol, lets not get on child molestation...

Tanaya, if you feel the need to expose him, you have every right to. Whether its you or someone else that does it, he should be outed, investigated, and removed...if he is not, then you find yourself a new church home and putting it out there will at least give everyone else the opportunity to make that choice as well.

O well that puts some light on the situation. Now you have to consider if that is even your business to get in. Yahweh sees all and we all will be judge. If you do decide to speak on this do it prayerfully.
